New variation of “Antivirus 8″: How to launch your removal programs
on November 22nd, 2010 at 9:46 pmThere is a new variation of Antivirus 8 that circumvents the running of any malware removal programs. You used to be able to rename the program you wanted to run as “iexplorer.exe” and run it but the twerps changed that. If you want to run Malwarebytes for example, launch the program from your normal icon and when your asked to choose which program you want to open it with, browse to the mbam.exe program file and select it again to launch it. It will proceed to scan itself for infections but will run the program. When it’s done just update it and run a new scan. On windows XP mbam.exe is in C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware. In Vista and Windows 7 if it is a 64bit OS then it is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware.
